2016 Shiraz

2016, a year so good that it’s rarely ever seen

Rain’s on cue, paddocks are lush and green.

Cattle prices soared to a record high

Lamb and wool too, I’m telling no lie!

Yabbies started crawling, we were catching a lot,

And Hussybay was about to win four on the trot.

Our son got married on the day of a Lord Aspen win,

Labor are out and the Libs are in.

Howlin’ Gales are around the corner so it would seem

Sadly I will awaken from this fairy tale dream!
